“Photography was a licence to go whenever I wanted and to do what I wanted to do.”
Inspired by the iconic work of Max Dupain, I picked up a my first camera at 15 and started snapping black and whites at Bondi Beach. Believe it or not that was back in the days of film and I loved the thrill and anticipation of seeing the images come alive in the darkroom I had set up under the house.
Twenty years on after two children and two degrees: BA of Visual Communications and an MA in Journalism, I still feel like a teenager at heart.
I love to capture the pure joy and innocence of childhood, family connections, the young love of a wedding couple and bonds that have blossomed into multi-generational families.
I am so grateful that I love what I do as I get to photograph and meet some amazing people; Social Acitivists, Politicians, Writers, Actors, Entertainers, CEOs, Families with kids or couples about to get married. Everyone has a story to tell and I love to capture the joys of a family celebration, an unbreakable family bond or a corporate or charity function.
I look forward to hearing from you and chatting about your special day; whether it be an event, special occasion, family portraits or just simple headshots to show your best angle:)
