The story of a photographer
Hi, I'm Giselle, thanks for stopping by. I am a passionate and creative Photographer who loves capturing everything from a fresh newborn baby to the joy of a bar or batmitzvah, the immense love of weddings to Prime Ministers being mobbed at communal functions! Although these ones won't be happening for a while now, thanks Covid-19! I specialise in events but love the fun of a family portrait session (We even play some games!) and I teach my clients how to hide their double chins and beer bellies in my sessions! The "1,2,3, pull" from My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Movie does not work.
Having picked up a my first camera at 15 snapping photojournalism style down at Bondi Beach I loved the thrill and anticipation of seeing the images come alive in the darkroom, back in the days of 35mm film. I was a pretty shy teen and having a camera gave me an excuse to come out of my shell.
Twenty five years on after three kids and two degrees: BA of Visual Communications and an MA in Journalism, I still feel like a teenager at heart. I love to capture the pure joy and innocence of childhood, family connections and bonds that have blossomed into multi-generational families.
I am so grateful that I love what I do as I get to photograph and meet amazing people every day. Everyone has a story to tell and I love to capture the joys of a family celebration, an unbreakable family bond or a corporate or charity function.
I look forward to hearing from you and chatting about your needs; whether it be capturing an event, special occasion, family portraits or just simple headshots to show your best angle!
